Default E99 F350 4x4 cclb 6spd

Looking at getting this truck. Body is perfect/no rust, brand new 35s, 16"(look like alcoas), randhand front, interior very nice. Had injector cups and o-rings replaced as some where cracked. Guy said had bad #4 injector so replaced with brand nee, so truck runs better/less smoke but still has to pull pass. Cover as he says still weak injector/miss. Truck has 291,000 miles but looks taken care of. Whats your opion? Also what is usual cost for motor rebuild and time consumption?

Thank!

Very excited, kinda my dream truck so very instrested in truck

Also, when bought my first powerstroke(94.5) it had bad injector so kinda have idea of no real power and will look at replacing all injectors with stage 2s asap as money allows.

Is there a way to check codes without programmer/computer? I know on my old 02 cummins you cycled the key 3 times and it would read codes out in odometer.

You have to have a scanner for the powerstrokes. The cheep scanners from the auto parts will not work either. it is either a more expensive scanner designed for the diesels or the auto ingenuity that works with a laptop.

Sounds like a high mileage truck... Hopefully the price reflects that. Take a look at everything.

Keep in mind the E99's were the bastard child... Different hubs, front end components, turbo set up, smaller HPOP, PCM...

With almost 300k, if the price is not cheap, I would not touch it.

Guy say's truck runs pretty decent, when he got it it needed injector cups, so he did those, then sucked all fuel out and did fuel filter and all new good diesel fuel. replaced one bad injector on driver side, still have to do pass. side. He says a slight haze of blue smoke when idiling but goes away. maybe need turbo rebuilt?

Going to try and go check it out saturday.
