This is my thought as well... I can't imagine paying almost 300 for an air intake when you could call up Riff Raff and get basically the same thing as Tymar, but Riff Raff sells a different filter I believe, for less than 100 bucks. Your truck will have all the air it needs. Then take that 200 bucks you just saved and start shopping around for the next mod on your list...

Well a Tymar isnt a cold air and yeah, 300+ doesent appeal to me, so I am thinking about modifying my existing box into a cold air and use a filter like Tymar. Its already ducted to the front for cold air, just duct it to the fender as well and remove the cover, add an air dam to the top that seals to the hood like a cold air and for no moocho green backs, cold air intake. Or am I just all screwed up and this makes no sence and is impossible or next too?

you can do a DIY for the same price as a riffraff, and completely get rid of the accordian plastic tube, which in theory can cause air turbulance. I have $90.00 into mine (steel tubing, band clamp and donaldson water resistant BHAF) before I powdercoated my tube.
