Turbo exhaust leak
I have a 2000 F-350 7.3 and I have an exhaust leak on the turbo, between the cold air side impeller and the hot exhaust side, the problem is that as you may have noticed, I dont know the correct terms for the turbo parts so I dont know what parts to get to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like mine is leaking between the mounting bracket/spacer that bolts the turbo to the pedestal that is between the cold side and the hot, the actual leak is between the mounting bracket/spacer and the hot side. If you go to my album I uploaded a pic of someone elses , doesnt have a leak but between the rusty spacer and the shinny exhaust side is where mine is leaking.Does that help any?

If I understand your description of the picture correctly the leak is between the turbo exhaust housing and the main turbo bearing housing. I haven't had one of these turbos apart yet but someone out there probably has and can tell you if there is a gasket or how it is sealed. The exhaust housing will have to be removed to fix it.

Ok, great, thanks, now that I have a few names I was able to find out that there is no seal there, just clean metal to metal, now just to figure out why it is leaking and how to fix it.
