okay so heres the deal i had my trans rebuilt, it usually runs around 130 highway and 1six0 in town, i hooked up to the trailer and loaded my ranger put my chip on 80hp tow setting and took it 10 miles and off loaded temp got to about 190, and thats going up a pretty big hill, then i loaded a 78 reg cab short bed chevy with 8inch lift stock tires and hauled it about 10 miles, my temp went to 210!!! on highway got to about 70 max in town was 30ish with o/d off, is this average or high?? oh and outside temp was around 70 while doing this

Personally, I wouldn't worry until I hit about 240 degrees sustained. 210 really isn't that hot.
If you're getting that warm while driving down the highway with the torque converter clutch applied, it's time to look into a larger cooler. If it's that hot around town, then the torque converter clutch isn't applied and there's your reason for the higher temperatures. With stock or our standard tunes, there's no way to have a TCC apply at 30 MPH, so your transmission is going to run hotter.
