Question What to Do About Gauges and Chips and Programmers

Ok I'm a newbie.....Coming from a First Gen Cummins and now into a 1999 Powerstroke. There is so many options with chips and programmers and gauges. What's the best? I'm looking at the Edge Evolution CS because it adds HP and has gauges but is that the best option? I don't know what to get or what configeration. Any Ideas? Suggestions?
AFE Stage 2 Intake and 4" Turbo Back Exhaust already installed. 6 Speed Manual Tranny.

It's really up to you. Most run a TS style chip with custom tunes and then run seperate gauges. Joe is looking down the barrel of 20 gauges but most of us just run a triple pillar pod with boost, EGT, and trans temp (since you have a manual, this would be unnecessary)

The Edge Evo definitely has an all in one bundle. If that's what you want, then I say go for it.

The reason most go with the TS style chip is switch on the fly capabilities and also custom tuning will allow you to grow with the mods you do. You can send it back for reburns and such.

Welcome to Diesel Bombers by the way!

TS Style is a programmer that can be installed onto the pcm and you can dial in six different power settings on the fly, get the TS chip and then look to some of the sponsors here on the board to getting custom tunes, ie, Swamps, Tyrant among a few. I've had two other chips and the the TS is by far the best, and I don't have custom tunes installed yet.

Look to the sponsors on here to purchase the programmer/chip, whatever you want to call it. There is a distinct difference, idk what it is.

Ok I think that's what i'm going to do. TS Style and maybe a Glow Shift 3 in 1 Gauge. Trying to do this with minimal cost. thoroughbreddiesel.com has the chip on sale for 255.00 seems to be the cheapest. Thanks for the help.

I had a EDGE EVO and I took it off and replaced it with the TS 6 pos and I couldnt be happier with it. It gives you a lot more power and its easier to use and they have a stock setting so you dont have to run it all the time.

TS style is just a brand of chip... Most of the custom tuners use/sell them.

That vs a Programmer which plugs into the OBD II port and uploads its programming onto the truck.
