Default Pulling engine tomorrow.

Pulling the engine out of my buddy's truck with him, what color is a stock torque converter in a 4r100. (late 99 f350 powerstroke 7.3). The one that's in it is baby blue.unsure if it's stock or not. And while were at it were changing the oil pan. And idea where to get a new one? Something that won't rot out? Is there and aftermarket company that makes them? While we have the engine out, what cheap and effective mods can we do?

Stock should just be bear metal, if it is painted it is more than likely aftermarket or reman.

For the oil pain I am not aware of any after market companies making one. I would get one from www.partsguyed.com and then Line-X it if rust is an issue for you.

What are the plans for the motor and then we can suggest what you might be able to do.
