has anyone done the swap to a 6 speed? what are the steps on that and is it worth it? price? any help is appreciated

Depends on how cheap you can find the manual transmission... Is it worth it? That is up to you... You can easily spend quite a few dollars swapping to a manual when you could just get a built auto to handle whatever for just over 4k.

Its not an easy swap, and a manual will not hold up to hp like a build auto will.

Thank you i think i have decided to go with bts, seems to be the best way to go.

what about doing a swap over to the tourq shift 5speed auto that the newer superdutys have, is that possible?

You could, but the tranny alone would run you $2k, plus you will need a PCS controler and an adapter...

Then you would just have a stock 5r110 in there.

Money ahead to do a BTS 4r100
