He is talking about surge... There are several fixes for surge without going to a $3000 turbo system that is way overkill for your power level.
Look for a ATS compressor housing. This will stop 99% of any surge. You could also add a 1.00 exhaust housing to the turbo without issue that would help surge, lower EGT and pick up a bit of top end HP.
You do NOT need a turbo, or turbo system.
However, if you want to upgrade to a better turbo that will work good with your stock injectors then the Garrett 38R is a good choice.
