Ok so I've been thinking how nice it would be to have that extra gear and was wondering is there any 5 or 6 speed autos that would swap easy with a 4r100? Like maybe a 5r110? Or an Allison? Just a thought and I hate where the rpm's are at 75

With the right adapters about anything will bolt up, but you will need a stand alone tranny controler...

Should set you back about 7-8k for a properly done set up...

Or you can go with a Gear Vendors... about 3k...

Or you can throw a set of smaller gears in the axles... about $1800

or you can throw a bigger set of tires on...

Slow down and the rpms will drop...

In all seriousness, 2300rpm at 75 isn't bad, I turn 2500... Step up a tire size and see what that does for you... It's going to be expensive if you go trying to put a completely different transmission in there...

i have thought about the exact same thing, i'm going to try to bump my tire size up to a 35 or 36, and if that fails i think i'll just buck up and get that gear vendor, i've always wanted one, think they are really cool, just can't spend the 3k on it.... just yet
