ran it out of fuel (gage dont work correctly) now it has a miss at idle. so i replaced the fuel filter and no change. no lights showing and seems to have normal power when driving. but has miss at idle somtimes rolling idle

 

Have you had any loss of power? You might want to check your fuel pressure. If there is anything going weird. I would say check your fuel pump but since you said the fuel gauge is not working correctly, It's time to drop the tank or lift the bed, and inspect your sending unit. Have you ran any biodiesel in your truck?

 

How often do you let it run out? Air and injectors are not a good combo.

How long have you driven it since you put fuel in it? It cant take 15-20 miles or more to get the air out of the system.

If your having a contiuing issue then as Rustin said, its time to drop the tank, clean the pickup and maybe do some of the intake mods now.

 

no loss of power. my cousin ran it out of fuel a couple of years ago. ran boidiesel though.when cold miss is not as bad as when warm. when warm the idle will roll some times

 

Need to take is somewhere and get it scanned. Have it checked for a Buzz test, cylinder contribution test and a rotational value tests.

 

my truck has a miss at idol but runs fine wen on the gas, hooked it up to the ids software and came up that the icp sensor is bad,and the cps sensor and conector is bad,
