Depends on how it has been maintained... Maintained well, last longer...Maintained poorly, last not as long.

well bud i have a 2001 f250 with 23800 miles n shes working fine it was a old dealer truck (they drove it like they stole it) ive seen the motor and trans go past 1 mill miles no joke but it depends on how you drive ill prob get 500,000 but youll have to replace the sway mounts and turbos and alternator but the motor will last for ever gota love ford it will outlast a duramax i know that for sure idk about cummins but fords last forever

dunno how many miles mine even has. the odometer stopped working way before I bought it at 197k so its got well over 205k and doesnt burn a drop of oil. 250-300k isnt anything for a 7.3 I've heard of them going as far as 600-800,000 miles, WAY more than you can say for a 6.0 or Dmax. cummins motors will go forever too. wise man once said "if it ain't 7.3 or cummins, drive a gas truck!!"

Take care of your truck and it will take of you. That's the bottom line especially with diesel's.

my boss has an early 99 and he is just shy of 300k. and it's still runs like new. mind you he has worked and used his truck, but not abused it. other than basic problems like alternator and starter, and has gone through a few clutches. and it still tows like a champ. he actually waxed the floor with an 03' HO cummins he had. twice the load too.

My '96 7.3 had over 280,000 on it when I sold it, and it ran strong. My E99 is a few miles shy of 209,000.
