i just have k and n cold air intake and the muffler and cat converter cut off. so straight piped and a silverline tip. it resinates off buildings and sounds soo good

 

Mine will be done this saturday got a turbo back 4" straight pipe coming and my napa filter will be in today hopefully its like everyone says it will be ill keep ya posted

 

my 2000 f550 has stock system to the muffler then muffler cut out and replaced with straight pipe. i have no cat, and it is loud. i have set off many car alarms with it. but i did find out something very interesting. one section of the stock 2002 gmc duramax exhaust has the perfect bends in it to replace the muffler and it is the same size pipe. works great.

 

I put in a muffler delete and didn't notice an in-cab change, or while driving. But when I drove through downtown Des Moines a few days ago, you could really hear the turbo singing.

 

i just put the 4" straight pipe from turbo back and added the napa filter to mine and its very quiet. the only thing thats really loud is the whistle from the turbo. As far as LOUD no i dont think u can make these trucks really loud unless u do as stated above, but the turbo whistle does sound pretty cool

 

i kno its a different motor but my friend has a 2011 f350 with a 5inch downpipe exhaust system with an 8 inch tip and that f*cker screams its loud as hell. im propably gona do the 5 inch on mine my brother has the 4inch dp and 4 inch straight pipe on his 2000 7.3 and is the same loudness as my 2000 7.3 with stock exhause (minus the muffler)

 

Have a mbrp on my truck 4inch if I get do a straight pipe instead of the muffler will it make a big difference?

 

id try it with out the muffler n c if u like it.

 

It's already got one I bought it last week and has mbrp exhaust I just wondering how much of a difference it will make with the turbo and just loudness?

 

hello iam new to this forum and have a few questions.
first is i have a 1995 f350 drw 5spd 2wd trying to replace down pipe do to its very restrictive nature. i have a down pipe for 99 super duty and cant find any info to lead me to believe that it work. can anyone help with this project.
also have a clutch disconnect switch that acts funny i want to bypass it any ideas here ?
