I know an old co-worker who made bio in his garage and ran it in his 7.3 and Cummins. For the entire set-up it was $1800-2000 in 2007. He uses fryer oil from 2 different fast food joints near his home. He gets it for free(saves them from paying for disposal), and ranges from 60-90 gallons a week. It took him a few times to get it right, but currently he estimates it costs him $.67 a gallon. He runs straight in the summer, 50/50 with D2 in the colder months. He likes it, but I'm not brave enough to try it.
