I have a 01 2500 with the in tank lift pump.i plan to run 2 gal of wvo to every 6 gal of regular diesel. I was just wondering if it will hurt my vp44. Say wvo is heavier than reg diesel and settles to the tank will this be ok if i get pure wvo? Will my stock in tank pump handle it? I plan to start out small and see how things go. I travel around 300 miles a week so 2-3 gal of basically free fuel helps me out. I plan on building a centrifuge from a bench grinder i have as the motor and a big pot. I havnt figured out the bowl yet but i will. So if i get a good 10 gal of wvo and let it sit for a week, than pump off the top into a container gravity fed thru a steel mesh type filter. Than have a valve to control flow straight into a fast spining centrifuge. Now id run the fuel through this 2-3 times as i want it as clean as possible. So after i pureify my wvo i would drive to the gas station pump my 6-7 gal than add my 2-3 gal of pure wvo. Would this be ok or even worth bothering with? With this type of blend would i need to change filters frequently? I live in southern cali and its summer time so no need for cold starts or warming fuel. Thanks for help/advice. Just looking for a alternative fuel to work on.
