Default More ?'s on injectors...

ok so im kinda new to the whole diesel world and e know that everyone is talking about injectors making that beautiful black smoke that i know we all love so i looked it up and injectors are WAY out of my price range. is there anyway to just buy the nozzles and longer plungers?? if not or just not possible is there a cheaper set of injectors that im just not seeing?? because everything that ive looked at is 1800-3200 and that just way too much

first of all SMOKE=DEVIL...dont get me wrong i love it to but please know that it has a time and a place...that being said

not really. most good injectors made by someone with a good reputation would be 1600 to 1800 at the least. and the top end of the spectrum can be over 3000.

why do you say that SMOKE=DEVIL??? and if i get the DP tuner shoudnt that keep wat you said true that when i want power the tuner will dump fuel cause the power increase and if i choose the tune for MPG shouldnt that lean out the air/fuel mixture so that i can choose times when i want it to smoke and not, so that i am not wasting fuel??

thx for the help it is greatly appreciated

i prefer PHP (Power Hungry Performance) tunes, have them on my truck and i have all the power and smoke that i need, you could try lookin for a set of used injectors, or rosewood diesel is probably the cheapest

Injectors will run you about $1800-$2400 for a good set.

Hybrids will give you about 450-600hp without much issue, you will need all the supporting mods to get there as well, tranny, turbo, fuel, and so on.

What have you done so far to the truck?

i say SMOKE=DEVIL bc when u go driving down the freeway blacking it out it leads to things like EGRs DPFs and Urea injection. in general it leads to the bad view of diesels as these out dated smoke belching trucks.
that being said smoke comes with power and it like i said it has a time and a place. dont get me wrong i like to roll a little coal every now and then but i try to avoid blacking out lanes of traffic.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

oh and by no means am i accusing you of doing this just making a point that smoke has a time and a place

u need some gauges the big 3 are EGT Boost and Trans.
depending on what size injectors u wanna run u might have to get a new hpop.
idk if your year has PMRs but if u have them that needs to stay in the front of ur mind

Powdered Metal Rods... a bit more fragile then Forged. You should be fine if your truck is a 2000...

I would go with a PHP chip, 238/100 hybrids, Intake, 4" exhaust, and a 38R... Along with a full set of gauges.
