i just put in a new trans a few months ago remanufactured with a shift kit and a low stall billet converter now it shifts late and its eratic could it be the speed sensor?

the scanner says its the speed sensor but can that really cause this problem? didnt have this problem in the last trans

 

The scanner gives you a code....it gives you a path of diagnostics to take. It never tells you what the problem actually is.

Yes, the vehicle speed sensor can wreak all sorts of havoc with the shift points. Think about it....how does the transmission know when to shift if it doesn't know how fast the truck is moving?

If you want to buy a VSS, they're cheap and easy to replace.

 

i know its easy to replace but im cheap i just installed the trans i wanna sell this thing and get a bad *** duramax
