got a 01 f250 7.3 got a k and n intake and a ts tuner. My question do i need an exhaust system? previous owner cut off the catalatic converter? otherwise stock exhaust. is exhaust system necessary? if so whats is best for money?

What you need more is a set of gauges, Pyro, Boost and tranny temp...

Exhaust will lower your EGT's a bit and give you a bit more power, but is not needed for the most part. Delete the muffler and see how you like that.

Problem is, the exhaust systems are so cheap, its hard to justify doing anything but removing the factory system. You can get a complete turbo back for less then $300 shipped to your door!

 

I would do an exhaust system.
