I have a 2000 duelley that does nothing but pull and only gets about 8.5 mpg. Truck does a great job, 220,000 miles and no problems. Only mods are K & N intake and programmer set to tow. Anybody have a suggestion for better mpg? thanks

 

What trans? Auto?

Thats pretty low. Is that mileage while pulling or loaded? City or highway?

Answer those so you can get a more specific piece of help.

What kind of programmer? I would get custom tunes if you havent already, and def get an exhaust system.

 

The mileage is average, loaded going, empty coming back and a combination of city and highway. the programmer is a "SCT X3 Power Flash". What are you suggesting on the exhaust? thanks

 

4" turbo back exhaust, and call up PHP, Swamps, Beans, etc.... its your choice of whom you call but call one and tell them that you have an SCT X3 and explain to them what you do with the truck and they'll set you up with some good tunes

 

Do you have any gauges? Pyro, Tranny and boost... You need to get at least a pyro. Check what your EGT's are doing and also your boost levels. I would suspect a drive pressure leak.
