Will a 1997 PSD work in a 2000 PSD truck

I have a chance to pickup a nice 2000 PSD that needs major engine work.
My question is will can I use a 97 engine in a 2000 truck? I will have all the parts from the 2000 to use on the 97 like manifolds turbo etc.

Yeah it will work might have to change out the injector harness. Would be a good upgrade as far as Hpop and stuff.

You will need to swap the injectors, the injector wire harness, and I would suggest changing the HPOP, and all assocated parts.

The motors (long blocks) are more or less the same, just everthing bolted to them changed over the years. I have a 97 motor in mine right now.
