I agree I am beginning to think amsoil is marketing bullshit but am will to continue at least this 125.00 oil change to 5,000 and have an oil sample done honestly I use mobile 1 in my gassers and swear by it but it's too explensive for my truck I dunno I would push mobile 1 out to 7500 miles with a good filter setup..if it could be had cheaply enough the cold weather benefits are worth it in winter time!

I like Mobile one! Both the Chevron Delo and Mobile Delvac usually run about the same price. if your talking about Mobil One Synthetic once again. Value is what your after. You will do well with Mobile One Synthetic. It is just going to cost more, and the possibility that the synthetic will expose some unforeseeable problems. synthetics wont create the problems. it is just that good of an oil.

I don't think SYN-OIL is worth the $$$, I have been using regular oil for almost 30 years & I've had good results

And thats fine good oil is good oil. If a person want's to buy synthetic, I am not going to stop him. I give them the pros and cons of it. let them make a decision. They did ask for our opinion. We are giving it. Like you I use the regular. If I could afford it synthetic all the way! Only after an overhaul. if the truck has had nothing but regular oil then thats what stays in the truck. I just put the best Dino oil there is. And it is a toss up between Delo or Delvac. I can't say anything bad about Rotella. I have never used it. I have seen the studies between the three. and it is usually a tie from Chevron and Mobile.

Check your local Wal-Mart... Delo is $8.50 a gallon right now, and Rotella is $25 for 2.5 gallons (on clearance right now... waiting for the next markdown to get more!)

I think unless it says supertech on the bottle or Oreilly's or any generic crap brand it'd be safe to run in these trucks
