I've ran Rotella and Amsoil in my '96 with K&N filters, I didn't really notice a difference. I run Delo instead of Rotella now in my 99 and, to me, seems cleaner after a few oil changes. I now use Fleetguard or Donaldson oil filters instead of K&N...and as mentioned before, oil seems cleaner at changes. I change my oil every 3-4K. I don't use anything Motorcraft if I can help it, but that opinion goes back to the days of driving gassers.
