You cant see the top gauge in those videos? Its a 0-100 gauge there, I am now running a 0-60 psi with the H2e...







Also have a drive OIL pressure gauge... but thats another thread...

Joe, I wish you still had a 38R or TNBB. I need someone with some free time/patience, and a few bucks. I know life never allows those 3, but if you had a smaller wastegated turbo, you could do it for cheap.

For what? I ran about every possible conflagration of housings and wheels you could think of on both... Not much left to test...

 

Wastegate actuator, hooked directly to drive pressure referance, with the actuator rod tightened to where the gate doesn't lift until your drive pressure reaches that point where it begins to spike.

 

You just explained the turbomaster wastegate controler... To a T...

 

Wow... It does seem like a nice piece. LOL

But I think the same effect can be had with the drive pressure going into the actuator. There's no way that spring in itself works as good as a canister style with a preset pressure...

It's got to let a little go the whole time, where a pressure controlled actuator does not.

 

It doesnt. Its the shape of the rod that controls it. It holds to the pressure you set it at. I ran one for about 40k on 4 differant set ups.
