i know the feeling ha, and these 7.3's arent the biggest fan of the cold, no diesel is really

 

yes smoke show is a waist of diesel, and its not even truly that much smoke. i get more smoke in the 100 and 140 settings. high idle is a must. i dont know exactly what your looking for... but anyone in their right mind wants smoke with the power to back it up, not just smoke... kinda like a girl stuffing their bra, it looks good untill u get to business and its all a fake
