i need help my air bag light came on in my truck. i took it to the dealer and they want $1000 just to look at it. it is a regular cab truck it has the off switch on passenger side the switch is in the off postion but the light saying it is off doesnt come on any more and i have a light on dashboard. i need to get it fix. have a 3 month old son and i have to put him in that spot if he goes any where with me and dont feel comtable putting him there not know if it is off or not. tryed sell it but to far up side down. suck between a rock and a hard place. any little info will help please. the truck is a 2001 f250 7.3

 

Dont know... Could be just the light is burned out... Wish I was of more help but...

 

I recently had a problem with my air bag light sometimes coming on and sometimes not.

We found the fuse was not seated properly.

MINE DOES IT OCCASIONALLY ALSO.. THEN CLEARS ITSELF/ I KNOW RANGERS ARE FAMOUS FOR THE CONNECTION UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT TO CORRODE AND SET IT OFF. POSSIBILITY....

 

It is the passager air bag sencer it happend on mine and i hook the computer up to it and the code read as that and when i replaced it it was all good no more light

 

on my 02 the light flashes 7 times several times then stays on. the 7 flashes indicate that the light is burned out that indicates if that side is turned on or off. A bulb change should do the trick.
