ok guys heres what i got goin on. first off i just bought my 2000 f250 2 weeks ago so im still going through it all. its got 250k on it. it seems like it has a programmer or a chip in it because it smokes more then average an feels like it has more power. now the issue, when i get on it an stay on it for about 1/8 mile or so the check engine light will flicker real fast an shut off.. no codes no driving issues.... any ideas? also since i don't know what kind of chip/programmer it has in it can i have a ford dealer reprogram my ecu back to stock so i can buy/install my own?

 

More then likely the code stored in the computer is an ICP code or a overboost code... Both are nothing really to worry about.

Yes Ford can reflash your computer to stock.

Contact Bill at Powerhungry Performance here and chat with him. He might be able to reflash your PCM for you...
