fuel leak
here ya go....see if this is whats going on with yours. i just fixed mine this weekend. took me about 2 hours...could be done quicker but i was going slow so i wouldnt screw somethin up.

just follow the directions and you should be fine. My local diesel guy wanted $200 to fix it...i did it for 11$....6$ for orings and 5$ for shipping.
might as well change the fuel filter while you are there. with that you need to know if you have the OEM filter or the aftermarket. after market has the cap attached and OEM doesn't.

Mine was also....was leaving a trail in the parking lot at work and a puddle about two feet in diameter. This is most likely your problem as it's a common issue. search around on here you'll see it discussed a lot.
