2002 7.3pwrstrk running rough
Dealership put it on the machine and they said it is the injector harness. Anybody got some ideas on where to get the harness, and the pains to change it. I already changed the CPS and it was running rough still so took it to the dealer, they want $1100 to fix.

$1100 bux for harnesses? GOOD GOD!
No way man, you can buy those harnesses anywhere and change them yourself.
Like Kyle said, it's not a brain buster to do. Just time consuming. Good luck.
And post back if you cant find the info you need.

yea 1100$ is rape, really all you gotta do is remove the intercooler pipe's, depends on what side its on, move some wires and you got acces to your valve covers. you might have to remove the altinator or ac compressor, just to move out of the way. 13mm takes out your valve cover bolts and viola... its a easy job just time consuming like nevrknow said.

You can find which side the miss is on by shooting exhaust manifold with a temperature gun. Then after removal of the valve cover/s don't be surprised if you find the harness not making good connection to the valve cover gasket. My 2000 has done this three times on the left bank, I simply used a 10 inch zip tie to ensure the connection stays. You have to leave the tie loose enough to get valve cover tight, if not it'll cut it when you tighten the bolts. Your probably thinking it'll leak, but it won't because it's on the top side. This worked for me!

You can get the harness and replace it yourself, its very easy. I just did one in the parking lot of the hotel yesterday.
Pull it apart first thou, It could be as easy as the harness coming unplugged (as was the one I did yesterday) and you just plug it back in.
Let us know if you need anymore help and DO NOT pay the dealer one red cent for this repair.
Where are you located? We may have someone close who could help you out!

But if you find the UVC harness has come unplugged I highly suggest getting the clip shims from Ford to keep it from happening again. If not it may come unplugged again at the worst possible time.
I learned this the hard way.
But when you are broke down along side a busy interstate with your pulling truck on the trailer in the middle of no where it is hard to get clips. Then a couple months later it comes unplugged again on the way home from work when it is minus 3 degrees out and dark and you are 15 miles from civalization.

A quarter slides right in there and you never have an issue again! Cheaper then the ford version too! LOL
