I got a 01 7.3 powerstroke and the other day i was climbing a hill with snow on it and ice and once i got to the top i spun out and i gave it hell and held it bout 2500 rpms for about 30 seconds and my truck just all of a sudden died but it started rite up again than it did it to me the next day again when i was going through a snow drift i spun out and did the same thang hammerd it to bout 2500 rpms again and it did it again im a little flusterd on wats going on here. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

 

Sounds like a cam sensor... Have you done the recall yet?

The CPS will sometimes go haywire when bumping on high RPM's because of cam walk...

Could be other things, but I would start there.
