Default Broken wire...

I am working on a '99 E350 with the 7.3 PSD...

In the process of changing injectors/turbo/pump etc I found a broken wire... the wire is grey with a red tracer and has a single wire connector about 3" from the break. The wire is on top of the engine near the filter bowl, but I cannot find the other end.... I looked at a bunch of schematics and did a continuity test, I have continuity (with ~58 ohms resistance) between the plug and pin #37 on the PCM. My pinout chart has that labled as the "fuel line heater", but both of the wires going into the fuel bowl are intact...

Any help??

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

EDIT - resistance is 58.5K ohms. There is no continuity between the broken wire and the IAT sensor or the injector module...

Could be the fuel bowl heater... Or the water sensor... both use a single wire conector.

the only plug going into the filter housing is a 2 wire plug... and it seems to be intact...

The wire is a light gauge wire...

The van in question is a early '99 (non-IC)

None of the vans have IC's...

Bottom of the fuel bowl or on the side there is a second wire that goes to the water in fuel sensor... I dont have a bowl in front of me to jar my memory...
