Sounds like it could be the IPR..go look at the "sticky" article on how to repair them...or you can buy one on ebay for about $90 including shipping.

I see upwards of 1500 ICP during crank. 400 is the absolute minimum to make the injectors fire.

Like blk99 said, pull the IPR and clean it. Carefully. Don't use a shop rag, or anything that'll leave lint behind.

Pull the IPR and clean it. Take it completely apart and clean it good. Then try again. You dont have to pull the ICP sensor, any of those plugs in the head are good to go.

look straight down into the valley from the ICP sensor... the IPR is in the back of the HPOP.... you will see a sheetmetal nut, a spacer, than a round solenoid the with a plug on top that is facing rearward... this is how you remove and clean it: New Page 0
also, if you get a Craftsman 1 1/8" socket, they seem to be longer and you can get a ratchet on them instead of ruining a socket like they did...

It may not be getting fuel at all. Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key? What about the inject....? Seems if you add fuel and it works you have a fuel issue. Not charging or anything. Fuel filter? Im telling you, check the fuel.

this has to be addressed first.... wether there is fuel present or not, it will NOT fire at 250psi... a small spike may cause it to fire and run for a sec and die but thats it...

but i do agree with checking the fuel filter... always a good thing to replace when having starting issues....

I am having same problems, Died won't restart. with my 2000 PSD. Died due to fuel starvation/gelled fuel in an Auxillary fuel filter prior to the lift pump. On Extremely cold -16F morning. Lift pump is aftermarket higher output/higher pressure than factory. plenty of fuel up to filter housing. acting still starved of fuel. Have had it plugged in and on charger and used external heater to get the engine warm.. Any info will help. What is most likely damaged from running dry?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I unplugged the battery three times to reset the ECM/PCM. When I tried to start it did start an died after 10 seconds. Tried again and sputtered a little more. Tried a few minutes later and it ran and started to clear up. Still rough. I had to actually shut down so that I can change auxillary filter. I am now suspecting sensors maybe out of whack. I just recently had the vehicle taken to dealership to replace the CPS due to recall, and something else. by the way where can one find the CPS?
