Can you get it on a scanner and see if it's makin ICP during crank?

Engine being pluged in will not keep the fuel in the tank from gelling if it's that cold where you are!

No smoke tells me no fuel, which tells me the injectors are not firing. Turn the key on, open the water seperator/ bowl drain and see if you get fuel out. That will not fix your injectors not firing, but its one more thing off the list.

If your not getting smoke, and the tach is moving when cranking its not a CPS.

You have more then likely a ICP issue. remove one of the caps on the top of the HPO res and see if the oil level is about 1/2" below the top.

As was said above, you need to get a scanner on it and check the ICP pressures and IPR duty cycle.

Try this real quick, unplug the ICP sensor and try cranking on it.

With the ICP sensor unpluged the PCM will default to 2200psi on the ICP and the injectors will fire whether there is 400psi or not. (400psi is the min before the PCM will fire the injectors.)

ICP sensor is on the drivers side head, toward the front just below the alt...

For that matter Joe, he should probably check the fuel bowl itself. After he drains is down some, take the lid off, turn the key on and it should refill very quickly.

Easier just to turn the key on and open the drain... If fuel comes out, he is good to go.

But jelling is not his issue. Even with jelled fuel the PSD will start and run, just not very good.

The injectors are not firing for some reason.

My point was it would be easier to tell with the lid off. Key on or key off there's still fuel comin out of an open drain valve on mine.

Spray with the key on vers drip with the key off. But true.

I dont like removing that lid for anything, they always tend to leak and the gasket splits...

Oh, I get a pretty steady stream, and I've never tried to check it that way.

Yeah , a fuel bowl delete is badly needed on mine. I have quite the conglomeration of orings goin. Can't believe they worked, but I got sick of smellin diesel.

well i have new updates on my problem we pulled the icp off and put a hydraulic hose and guage on it and as i crank it over the guage only went up ta 250 psi, and from what i hear im suposed ta have 500-700 psi so im guessing its either the hpop or the oil regulator. my truck has 27000 miles or so,
