Default Water in fuel system?

Ya ive been havin problems with my fuel system on my 2001 powerstroke 7.3, Ive had a problem when i drive it my service engine soon light comes on and my truck loses power. And the way to fix it is by putting on a new fuel filter. I drain the fuel bowl were the fuel filter goes in and its just nothing but watery fuel in it. Someone please help me fix my problem. P.S ive went threw 4 fuel filters in it in the past month.

Your SES light is coming on, not the water in fuel light? How do you tell its watery fuel?

Sounds like you have a bad tank of fuel... Might try getting some powerservice and dump the whole thing in the tank.

How? Bubbles? Black spots in it? Green spots??? Its strange that your Water in Fuel light is not coming on and your SES light is.

Yes, Powerservice can be had at any store from Wal-mart to Napa. Get the one qt bottle and dump the whole thing in there. And then dont get fuel from where ever you got it last!!!

The fuel is almost crystal clear and I just also noticed that there is like a sandy material in the bottom of the fuel bowl. So im thinking the place were im buying fuel they need new tanks or something.

The sand and stuff is somewhat normal. You can drain the bowl and clean it out if you want, I used to once a year or so. You can also install a small in line filter after the pump that will keep some of the bigger crap from making it up there.
