Sounds like a waste gate problem, or a leaking boot or boots.

Sounds like your ICP sensor is leaking oil or bad. Or the chip you are running is asking for too much ICP at lower ranges. It has nothing to do with the turbo.

What are your max boost readings?

max boost is now between 15-20 on a long pull.it use to make 27-28 easily. but like i said now kicks on the engine light even on the flat. egts are now higher without the chip under normal driving. not good

did try icp sensor, didn't change.egts higher running it stock.it also doesn't start as well as it use to,stock or chiped even after injectors, but not all the time.compression, oil press.,fuel press. all really good.something just not right??!!!!

stock injectors through ford. issue was still present before but is more prominent now.installed chip today and tried different things. if i get hard on the throttle it goes flat but if i back off alittle ,the boost press climbs and it pulls hard again.i'm pretty sure it is the wastegate assembly/turbo.looking into a high tech turbo, any feedback on them?

Its NOT the turbo... you have a ICP pressure issue of some kind. Be it a bad o ring, bad IPR or bad icp sensor.

Turbos do not work sometimes and not others...

Need to get some kind of scanner on it, check the ICP pressure and IPR duty cycle while driving
