When I am driving in town, cruising at a steady speed of35- 40 my gauge will show 2-4 pounds of boost. Also while I am curising down the highway 70-75 it will show between 6 and 8 pounds. I never really paid attnetion to this before but I swear it would never show boost when I was at a constant steady speed. Is this normal or is the wastegate stuck open?Truck seems to still run funny after fixing other problems that's the only reason I noticed the boost. Thanks.

 

Mine makes about 6-8 pounds cruising on the highway I think its normal

 

That is where my gauge runs too!

 

You're going to see boost cruising around, how much depends on your mods, if you lower your EGT's at that RPM, you'll see a little less boost.

My truck (now mine is a 6.4 mind you) runs 14 psi at 70mph on the highway LOL

 

You also have drag, wind, tire size, load...

If your boost is good and your egt's are good then your fine. What "good" is you will learn over time.
