Default New ford recall

Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it will add 4.5 million older-model vehicles to the long list of those recalled because a defective cruise control switch could cause a fire.

The recall covers the following model years: 1995-2003 Ford Windstar; 2000-2003 Ford Excursion diesel; 1993-1997 and 1999-2003 Ford F-Super Duty diesel; 1992-2003 Ford Econoline; 1995-2002 Ford Explorer; 1995-2002 Mercury Mountaineer; 1995-1997 and 2001-2003 Ford Ranger; and 1994 Ford F35 Motorhome vehicles.

All ready had mine done. it is new harness they have to put in. its the cruise control deactivation switch i believe... about a 45min fix. did it at wiebold.

Got this a little over a week ago for my 97. Going to try and get it in this week. 2 of my buddies also got it for their 99's and another buddies explorer.

had mine done 3 weeks ago. it took the dealer about 45 min. its a new harness for the cruise control. no biggy.

Yep, went to Brooker Ford, Dalton, GA. Installed at the service entry line and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes.

09s09 recall;is the harness spliced in or does it just plug into the switch on the end of the master cylinder,dealers i talked to around london all have different answers of course.thanks for any help.
