Default white smoke, wont start, water in fuel light???

Well I just bought a 97 F350 with a 99 7.3 in it a few weeks ago. I have not even seen the truck because I am deployed. I have had my dad going out and starting it and driving it a little bit every week. Well he just drove it last weekend with no problem. He went out to start it yesterday and on second attempt to start it blew white smoke, the water in fuel tank light came on and now won't run.

Has this happened to anyone, and what do I need to have my dad do to fix the problem? He said that the front tanki was half and the rear was about 1/4 full but it's only sat for 6 days. Is there an additive or something I can use to get rid of the water in the tank if that is what the problem is?

Thank you all for any help I can get!!!

if you filled the tanks up to the top that'd probably take care of it after a while of running and i'd change the fuel filter asap too, but honestly i don't know what you're supposed to do when water is present in the fuel

Mileage Maxx fuel additive is a terrific performance additive plus has emulsifiers that separates water from fuel. This will eliminate your water problem, white smoke plus improve performance and increase fuel economy. Terrific diesel fuel additive. go to Mileage Maxx Fuel Treatment - Increase Gas Mileage - Reduce Toxic Emissions

On the top of the fuel bowl is a yellow valve, open it when cranking and allow it to drain some fuel out. It is the water drain valve.

But that doesnt fix your no start issue. Check the oil, check to make sure the fuel bowl is full.

Is it cold out? Could be as symple as the glow plug relay is out. Try plugging it in for a few hours and try again.
