This sounds like the same problem I am having with mine. If its plugged in over night it will run fine. If it has been running within the last few hours, it will run fine. If it sits say over night it acts like it not running on all 8 cylinders. It will run like this till I get my foot into and the turbo spools up then it seems to "Clear its throat" and runs fine.

I am also having starting issues in the cold that I am trying to chase down. Just replaced all 8 glow plugs and didnt seem to make much difference. Next I am thinking the batteries maybe be getting a little weak in the Alaska cold.

Not to hijack this thread but any advice on what oil I should run in alaska? Temps in the winter go from anywhere from about 30 degrees to -30ish

I havn' t had a chance to work on this truck since my last post, but I think I will get it back next week sometime, I am pretty sure its the ICP sensor...
