00 runs ruff/issues
Ok I am a diesel mechanic but more on big rigs, and cummins, so I got my first powerstroke job, anyways its a 00 powerstroke it has 200,000 miles and it runs really bad when its cold, but when I got it it was running bad all the time so it got scanned and the 7 and 8 injectors where bad so instead of replacing the 2 we replaced all of them just because thats how I was taught , so now I run it and it runs better but still not good, then it warms up it runs great, so we let it sit over night it runs horrible again, so we let it sit and run for 10 min shut it off for a lil bit then fire it up and it runs great...when I scann it I throws the ICP p1280 code, I know it could be a lot of things like the harness , cps, icp maybe glow pluggs but it only runs bad for like 10 to 15 min, it also hard starts even if it is warm, but I don't even know where to start on this thing , I know its not the injectors a least... just somebody to shoot me in the right direction would be appreciated ..

Im not an expert by any means but that code usually means the high pressure oil used to fire the injectors is out of range. When I added my chip after awhile at wot the pump would run out and couldnt keep up with the injectors. I dont really know where to point you on this, I can just tell you thats the code and it sounds like they arent getting enough hpo to run right and to start. Im sure Joe, CSIPSD will chime in or pm him. Otherwise good luck

Get about 20 or so miles on the truck, then run a Buzz test, Contrubrution test and check to see what the HPO pressures and Duty cycle are. There is really no reason to replace all the injectors, and I would bet that there was nothing wrong with the injectors you replaced. It is not common for PSD injectors to fail, it happens, but its not common.
Check to make sure the glow plug system is working, check the oil level in the HPO res in the morning before starting. It should be full, about 1/4-3/8 of an inch below the top when you remove the plug. If its any lower then that, you have a HPO system issue.
Check the fuel pressure off the drain valve, should have between 30-70psi at idle. Worst case... Compression check, but that does not sound like your issue.

Thanks for the help but I dont have a fancy scanner that can do the buzz test, it will only pull codes, if I worked on strokes a lot I would, as for replacing all the injectors thats just how I was trained at tech school, and the way the nozzles looked I would say they were do, maybe not the whole unit, but I will check out the reservoir like u said,I guess I am stuck untill I can get a hold of an AE scanner,I really don't wanna throw parts at it , its probably something simple it always is.... , thanks for the help I really appreciate it,

The looks of the nozzles mean nothing on a PSD. The problem with replacing the injectors is now you have no idea what the real problem could be, you have just added 8 more questions to the mix. It could be as symple as a wire harness.
Get a quality scanner on there and go from there.
Soon as I get my laptop back I could swing out that way and scan it, but it will be about a week before it gets back from the repair shop.
