White Smoke
I've put on way more than 20 miles since installing that injector. It seems to blow the smoke when I start and if I rev the engine it will blow after I let off the pedal, not while I'm reving. On the off chance it just air in the line will that eventually work itself out?
Its not air in the line... It could be coolant, has your coolant been going down at all?
What does the smoke smell like? Sometimes "white" smoke is really oil. You could have a turbo issue.
smell it and see if it smells like fuel.

Will do. Supposed to be nice out tomorrow so I plan on messing with it. It does seem like it's lacking power. I had air box off for probably 4 days did I need to oil the turbo wheel some how before I started it. Haven't looked at coolant either just assumed it was injector cause that's what I just messed with. Frustrating.
Gee thanks. If it keeps this up I might not.

O.K. looking through my book here before I started working on this thing and it said if you have burned oil on the turbo housing that the oil return for the turbo is probably blocked, would that cause the smoke? Just trying to figure it out hate to do un-necessary work.

Another update. Pulled and reinstalled injector, might have went in an 1/8 inch more. Actuator on turbo is not working, put pressure on it and wastegate rod did not move. Also, noticed some oil around the clamp for the downpipe. Do I need a new turbo? Like I said before it sure seems to be lacking power if wastegate got stuck open I assume that would cause lack of power but why the smoke?
Yes they came stock with a Garrett turbo. I dont know exactly what you did to the waste gate rod, did you remove the red line and blow air into the wastegate rod? If so it should open with about 30psi or so of air. Your not looking at the rod on the bottom of the turbo but the one at the top, in back.
Yes I took off red hose put 20 psi on it book said I only needed five and the rod on the bottom should move(damn book). We did look at both rods while pressure was on just in case we were reading it wrong and neither moved. Also, when we took the top rod(from the diaphram) on the actuator off the post it was hooked to that post moved all over like it wasn't hooked to anything is that normal? Garrett GTP38R is best for this truck correct? Intake, exhaust and soon to be chip(replacing Edge Evo).
