Default running p1211 code

I have a 2001 Ford F350 7.3 litre diesel with cold air intake, 4in turbo back exhaust, and an Edge Evolution programmer with 83500 miles and when I gotta get on it it will run p1211 code. Also, I am not getting the mileage I was told I would get out of this engine expected around 19 am getting around 14. What is going on with this truck? I am very frustrated and would be very greatful for any help that I receive. Thanks.

P1211 is an ICP code, you will get that code when running higher HP tunes due to the HPOP (high pressure oil pump) not keeping up. There is nothing you can do about it really without going to a dual or big oil set up. With a better tuner you may find you have more HP and less ICP (injector control pressure) called out for, so you would not get the code as much.

As far as your milage goes, 90% of it is due to your heavy right foot. If your running around on the extream tune, I would imagine that at every red light your blowing a little smoke... Smoke means bad milage more or less. Extream settings are most times the best for MPG, but you have to learn to drive with a very light foot.

I trully don't drive like a wild man. I only get on it when I have to, and when I do get on it that's when I get the smoke. Do you recommend a different programmer(better one)?

for starters, call Swamps and get a chip from them...

and i agree with CSI, plus, the lower ICP can also be a big factor in your hurting MPG...without the enough HPO the fuel does not atomize as well (AKA more smoke) which in turn, as CSI said, give you less mileage.... should really consider upgrading your HPOP with a Terminator or Stealth setup...
