a friend of mine has a 7.3 and he says hes running 513hp at the rear wheels with just a chip, intake, and a 5 inch exhaust i think its bull cause i know guys that had pretty wicked fords but did a lot more than that and i dont think some guys realize how much 513hp is i think he was just throwing out a number????

 

he must be dyslexic and meant he had 315hp at the wheels......

I don't think the stock turbo and injectors have enough jam to support 513hp.

Ask him for the dyno sheet.

Or did he just find the stock number and go:

Chip +120hp
Air intake +45hp
Exhaust +60hp

Yeah hes not running those numbers in a 7.3 a 6.0 or a 6.4 yeah. Not a 7.3 though need the Garret GTP38 before you even start getting close to those numbers.

yea sorry but your friend is full of it. the stock injectors can barely support 400+ let alone 500 that truck would be starving for fuel

 

How many 'got diesel?' decals and such did he add? that could be where the secret hp is coming from.

 

stock injectors wil suport about 315-325 with the right mods
it would be big oil a gtp38r turbo and hybids or b code injectors to get to 450 500hp range bet him 100 bucks and go to the dyno you be 100 bucks richer
