My first powerstoke was a 96-250 with a 5 speed. I drove it 306,000 miles in 7 years. turn around and sold it for $15,000. and the guy still has it today. maintenance was what got me the good return on it when i sold it. you take care of it and it will last.

Yeah one of mine has 178,000 and all I do is change the fluids and only problem I had was with the vacuum hubs. So I chaged the system to a manual

I have pulled with 7.3l psd's that have 800,000 on them. I called on a 96 a few years ago that had 1,200,000 just got the engine replaced. My ex PSD had 227k on it when I traded it in and it was still amazingly reliable even after the hell I put it through. (ether killed my compression though), after you got it started no prob whatsoever! They are an amazing engine that last forever!

If its a 94-97 plan on injectors soon, other than that you should be good to go!

I had to go thru my 7.3 at 240,000 miles after melting #5 piston. ooops. While tearing it down I was AMAZED. The bearings had no wear, the cylinder walls still had the factory hone marks. (except for the one that had a thick layer of aluminum stuck on it)
