well my friends 7.3 we've been working on took a dumb. we put 90hp injectors, a bd diesel bb turbo, custom intake, 4in down pipe, 5in stacks, and a diablo 150 hp chip. It pulled almost 40psi before the heads popped he said he had fun anyways. i'm sad i'm not there to help fix it.

WOW I always here of the 6.0 PSD popping it's heads, not the 7.3 PSD ????

Did you say "Alomost 40 psi?" because I thought 7.3's didn't pop until at least 50 psi.

Did it have many miles on the engine so it was weakened quite a bit? Did your friend tow with that 150 hp mode activated uphills, in the hot summer....while riding the brake?

7.3's are in the danger range at about 38-42 range, anything beyond that and your on your own.

Throw some ARP headstuds and factory gaskets back in and go on with life.
