I have a early 99 7.3 and i needed to check the fuse box under the steering wheel when i noticed a couple of things first off there are wire nuts every where also there is an unplugged plug that looks a lot loke the plug on the ebps and also a little red box with a green light if any body can tell me what this is or if i should take it out i would appriciate it

Definitely doesn't look factory to me, My early 99 doesn't have any of that, just looks like a regular old fuse box. Perhaps the previous owner had a tuner that required use of the fuse panel, aftermarket lights? gauges? some ideas for you, I would find out what it was for before taking it out.

Yeah it looks goofy for sure, Best bet would be to try and sort and track those wires all down, there is no telling what sorts of things people do with wiring.

I've had some wiring nightmares from stuff just like that.
