Default White Smoke on start up only

I have a 2001 7.3 F350 and here latey since its been cold I've notice white smoke on start up. After I take off it goes away and never smokes again. I have 296k miles on it and it runs great. Last year I started running the Lucas Oil Treatment in the fuel and now Im woundering if that could of made it start doing this. Maybe injector seals leaking a bit?

How many miles on injectors? What weight oil are you using? How cold is it where you are? and does it still blow white with it plugged in?

I got 295k miles on it orignal injectors. I run 15-40 Rotella. It dose it the most when its about 60 degrees and below. It doesn't do it much when i plug it in. Maybe a little bit but thats when its 40 and below. When its in the 70 to 105 degree range it never smokes.

Usually it means your glow plugs are weak. That white smoke is unburnt fuel if the injectors are original chances are so are the glow plugs. Also check the glow plug relay.

Yeah I was told it could be from the injectors being LAZY on cold start ups not burning the fuel off. I run the edge programmer and since I installed it and put Lucas Oil treatment in it that's when it started doing this. its still doing it today. Ill check glow plug relay and see what its doing. thanks for any more input

Make sure you replace glow plugs with OEM parts aftermarket plugs don't last as long and have a tendency to quit early and break inside your engine.
