Hey guys just picked up a 2001 f550 dump its a 2wd how hard would it be to convert it to a 4wd?? im asuming i could just swap out the front axel, pull the tail piece off the trans ( 6 speed stick) and put a t case and new drive shaft in? does this sound about right or are things not as it seems? any info would be great Thanks in advance guys

 

Finding a 10 lug front axle will be the hard part. But I'm going to guess you will need to find a new trans, transfer case and drive lines
