i work at an install shop and have a 03 excursion here. i am currently using a timer for the WTS but i do not like doing this, on my cummins i use the WTS light but on this vehicle it seems that is not an option due to reports of frying the entire circuit even with diodes... (some how).

so my question is this: the glow plugs take DC power to heat, right? what about hooking a relay to the hot side of a plug and sending that neg trip back to the RS as the WTS light? anyone have any thoughts about this?
