Default 2001 7.3 oil leak on passenger side of engine

I noticed as i walked to my truck a little oil spot under the passenger side towards the back of the engine, i layer under it with a flashlight and i is running down from somewhere up top and it is running down behind the manifold it looks like. I need to get up top and look at the valley, how will i know what it is leaking of oil is spotted in the valley? Oh and thanks guys

I know if the hpop is leaking it will spill oil to the back... but get some degreaser clean it up and it will be a whole lot easier to find.

Well it looks a little wet in the valley but i did notice my fuel filter lid was loose so it might have been leaking there and running back. I also noticed that my intercooler pipe has something by the intercooler boots it looks almost like an oily residue.

Dads old 7.3 had a sensor leaking??, tightened with a wrench and fubard oring iirc. Ended up costing $2 for new oring, but he prob lost hundreds in oil over the years as he only fixed right before he sold it

Something else to look for. As stated degrease and the crawl around in the dark and look for the wet spot....

Well i don't think its the turbo, What would cover the intake plenums in oil i tried to degrease it but was a tad afraid our pressure washer with 5000psi might hurt the sensors? The entire valley really isn't all that wet but it looks like it has seeped a tad towards the intake plenums. Most of the leak looks like it runs down the passenger side of the block i plan to look closer tomorrow Wish me luck!

Default Early 99 7.3

Startin to think that the 7.3 is junk. I know the early 99 is. Been workin on mine for 6 months and still runs like a dog. Couldnt pull its *** out of dry pavement. Junk. Strait exhaust. Ts 6 position chip, clean air, new injectors, glow plugs, new icp sensor, clean ebpv, and all the above. Still a piece of crap. Period.
