i'm looking for a cheaper diesel truck and I found this freshly safetied 1999 f250 7.3 auto 4x4 for $5000 Canadian. the bottom is rocker guarded with no rust, and it looks alright but it has 358,000 miles (576,000km) on the body and 118,000 miles (190,000km) on the motor. he said it has a new starter and batteries, but it original tranny and everything. should I stay away from a truck with this many miles on the body? how do they hold up?

 

You will be fine with the 7.3 but I would start looking for a transmission...Thats a lot of miles for any transmission...Checking the frame for rust and cracks would be my first priority before I bought it 358,000 mile is a lot of miles...
