The hard shift is spuratic without tuner... Sometimes 1-2 + 2-3... Sometimes one or the other...but random and not all the time...

I am not sure if this true or not that PCM reset can cause harder shifts until PCM stores driving data cycles but I am 100% if that is accurate or not... I did have battery cables replaced first trip when they changed icp, ipr, and EBP sensors, chip was still installed... But this is when I started to notice major drivability issues... So after a few weeks of trouble shooting we removed chip and driveability is way better just these hard shifts currently...

Tomorrow I will do a proper PCM reset since it took less than 10 min to disconnect tuner and that was not enough time for a proper reset...thinking maybe some of the PCM/trans data may still have some tuner shift points even though tuner is out since it was not a proper reset...no hardcodes but need to run AE tomorrow as well after reset... However truck drives better without tuner than when had couple sensors changed with tuner in... I do notice the loss of tuner hp but that to be expected running at stock... But I just care about driveability not necessarily being the fastest or blowing the most smoke...if that makes sense...

Reset the computer to see if it had anything to do with shifts...

Took truck out for about 70 miles... From a stop light or stop sign truck will have a hard quick shift from 1-2 & 2-3 periodically under normal throttle... Once driving shifting is good... If I feather the pedal or light throttle I can get normal shift without hard shift from stop and go...

Manually shifting ats from stop and go I really only notice a harder shift from 2-3...

Do you think this is something that will auto correct or possibly a sensor on trans going bad...

Thoughts???

Did not have chance to run AE on it yet since reset with snow coming in....

Thanks,

Blackpool

Yeah 1-2 then 2-3 off from stop and go situation... It feels like a hard shift with like a 1 second delay or buck ... 2-3 is always harder and more noticeable than 1-2... That is when is does this...

Drove it today did not have any issue till red light on way home before hill 1/2 mile from home... Gave it a little more throttle than earlier today and it happened...

Once again it shifts smooth while driving... I could be slowing down and in first gear as long as I don't stop no issue no matter how heavy or light I have throttle through all gears... If I stop and go if I have relatively normal throttle to heavy throttle issue happens sometimes....if I have light throttle and crawl through first transition shifts no problem even if I increase throttle for next shift...

Thoughts?

Do you have a shift kit? On my old stock tranny I had a shiftkit and never had issues but I heard stock trannys have sloppy shifts 2to3 so it might need to be firmed up
